LEAD VOCALS
Savio started singing at a very young age encouraged by his mother Susan who was an excellent singer herself. Having seen the limelight at a very tender age, he moved on into singing in professional choirs and folklore dance troupes before making a mark as a singer and actor in Konkani Tiatr ( Konkani Theatre). Savio is a versatile singer who can sing in various languages but his forte remains in singing Konkani songs from the Seventies and Eighties which evoke a nostalgia in audiences who grew up listening to those songs in Goa. He believes that Konkani music can grow in non Konkani speaking countries like the USA if given the proper exposure and for this reason he is the lead singer for POCO LOCOS, the Goan band which strives to bring music mostly Goan, to the diaspora spread across the Americas, their first stop being the Bay Area in California. Savio believes that " Practice makes Perfect" and that is no compromise for perfection!
